Sakura International appointed GBAC STAR representative

Sakura International is proud to announce our appointment as Japan Designated Representative for GBAC STAR.
GBAC STAR is an accreditation created by Global Biorisk Advisory Council specifically for Covid 19, but is applicable to any kind of infectious disease. It is targeted at event venues, accommodation, sports arenas and other facilities where people congregate, therefore representing a risk of infection.

While GBAC STAR is administered in the USA, the absence of a global standard for biosecurity means this accreditation is rapidly gaining recognition worldwide.
Our role will be to propagate the GBAC STAR accreditation in Japan, acting as sales agent and local contact for interested parties and potential applicants.

As the first step we have decided to apply for this accreditation ourselves, joining an exclusive group of members from Japan including the Palace Hotel and Hyatt Hotels group.
We can therefore announce our commitment to GBAC STAR, and look forward to being able to join the rapidly expanding group of accredited facilities worldwide.

Through representing this accreditation in Japan, Sakura International hopes to contribute to safer venues for events and assist a swift return to normality for the MICE industry.
